Getting the error code 0x8004010F when you attempt to send or receive emails in your favourite Outlook email application? The issue could be due to the corrupted profile. Microsoft Outlook cannot start when the email profile gets corrupted. The only solution to fix this problem is to create a new Outlook profile. First of all, you need to find out where your Outlook data file is located by default. Once you know the location, you can create the new profile. - Navigate to the Start button on your desktop and choose Control Panel from the resulting menu.
- When the Control Panel screen is opened, locate the Mail icon in it and double-click it to open. This will open the Mail setup dialogue box. Locate the option that says Show profiles and click it. Outlook will display all the email profiles you have created in the application. Select the specific profile that has the problem.
- After selecting the profile, select the Properties button and choose the tab titled Data Files.
- Write down the location of the data file of your current profile.
- Exit the window.
- Navigate to the Start button and choose Control Panel from the menu.
- In the Control Panel window, locate the Mail icon and double-click it to open.
- When the Mail setup dialogue box appears, choose the tab titled General and select the Add button. A new dialogue box titled New Profile will appear now. Give a name for the profile and proceed by selecting the OK button. A new dialogue box titled Add New Account will appear now.
- Configure your email account now. You will have to fill in each section such as Account Details, Server Details and Login Details with appropriate information. Once you are done with configuring the application, select Next followed by Finish.
