Guidelines For Toolbar Removal From Internet Explorer

Many users often recommend others to go for the use of toolbars or software if they require a better web-surfing experience. However, some of the toolbars and other software are in operation just for the promotion of advertisements for relevant sites and bringing up more complications while browsing. Therefore, if your web browser is filled with such toolbars that serve no real purpose, the preeminent and foremost thing that has to be done is its removal. Users have to follow the below mentioned guidelines to remove toolbars.

Steps to follow
  • Open Internet Explorer installed in your laptop/PC.
  • Choose Tools menu from the Internet Explorer menu bar when the Internet Explorer window appears. Select Manage Add-Ons. Windows 7 / Windows Vista users who cannot see a menu will have to choose the Alt key.
  • Below Add-on Types, select Toolbars and Extensions when you see the Manage Add Ons window.
  • Users have to verify that All Add-Ons is chosen below the drop down menu by the name Show.
  • Choose the toolbar that you want to delete and click on the Disable option.
  • Sometimes you might be able to see a window that shows that disabling of some services and Add-ons will also take place. Do not un-check the items if you are able to see the window and select the OK button.
  • To quit from the Add-ons window, select the Close button.
  • Close Internet Explorer by clicking on the X button at the window’s edge. Now, access it again.
  • If you look closely at the web browser, you can see that the toolbar is no longer available.
  • If you are not comfortable with following these steps, an alternate method for toolbar removal is by using the Control Panel.
Removal using Control Panel
  • Click on the Windows Start button and the Start menu will pop up on screen. From the menu, choose the Control Panel option.
  • You will be able to view the Control Panel window on screen. Select Programs and Features.
  • Search and find out the toolbar from the uninstall window that you require to remove. Select it and choose the Uninstall option.
  • A set of on screen instructions will appear for the un-installation of the toolbar to take place and you have to adhere to the given instructions.

By following above mentioned guidelines, you will be able to remove toolbars from your computer system easily and effectively.
