Finding The SEND Button In Microsoft Outlook 2010 And Versions

Microsoft Outlook is a popular email application client released and owned by Microsoft. There are several versions of it and each has its own specific features and characteristics. The Send button is one that’s recurring. In latest versions of Outlook, like Microsoft Outlook 2013 and 2010, this button is generally found in the section for new messages. There are several options available to open a new message window. To do so, you can use either Reply, Forward, or New, or start viewing the previously received messages. However, if you need to send any email messages, then it is necessary for you configure your email account. If your account is not configured, then you cannot perform any activity.

Comparing Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2013, there are many differences in the interface. Outlook 2003 has a classic interface whereas Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2010 both feature a ribbon interface. That means Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2010 do not have classic menus and toolbars. Moreover, there are some changes in the features also. Now, let’s see what the classic menu of Outlook is?

Classic Menu for Office and Outlook
The classic menu for the Outlook will feature toolbars, and will help users to know about the transition from Microsoft Office 2003 to Office 2007, or MS 2010 to 2013. Moreover, if you are upgrading your Office, it will help by saving time and energy, as you need to spend only a very little time for training employees in its use.

Benefits of having a classic menu
  • It is possible to view the Send button adjacent to the buttons To and Cc and the Subject box, in the new message window. In the screen shot, the one that is outlined in red is the Send button.
  • Like in Microsoft 2003, you can view all the classic menu and toolbars from the Menus tab. Now, under the Actions and Help menu, you can see the Send button.
  • Click the Actions menu from the classic style menu interface, and you can find the Send button at the bottom by clicking the drop down menu.
However, if you are not using the classic menu, then to open a new message window, you need to navigate to the tab called Home, then in the left corner, you will see the New group, and you can click the option called New mail.
